Always efficient, timely and polite.
I dislike how lengthy the spiel is at the beginning.
Dr Bhati was as usual very professional and caring she really takes a genuine interest and her attitudes is always very upbeat. Fantastic GP. Thank you.
Everything.
I was recently put onto a long term drug treatment for a heart condition. The prescription note had a statement saying 'review date 31st October 2016'. I didn't understand what this meant, perhaps it was a note for the Pharmacy or the surgery. It was not explained to me that it was actually my review and that it is up to me to arrange a date for this. That's fine by me, I understand that the doctors/receptionists can't go chasing everyone to attend reviews, but why not advise patients that it is their responsibility to do this. All it takes is a single sentence on the prescription note to this effect and it would save a lot of confusion.
Thank you to taking the time to provide your feedback. There is a lot if information we would like to appear on prescriptions which would help both patients and the surgery. Unfortunately, our clinical computer system allows a very small amount of space for a message which we already fully utilise. This is the first time that this issue has been raised by any patient and we do usually stamp prescriptions with 'MEDICATION REVIEW DUE' a month before the date is due. Maybe this manual stamp was missed on this occassion? If that's the case, I apologise for the oversight. Just to let you know, we would never refuse to issue repeat medication if a review had not been completed before the due date, but would always allow a period of grace for patient's to make an appointment at a time convenient to them. Recently, overnight I developed a very swollen upper lip. I did suspect shingles having suffered it before on my face. I rang the surgery and the receptionist was very helpful and after agreeing that I needed to be seen speedily she said a doctor would probably ring me within the hour. ten minutes later I was speaking to Dr Nambi who asked if I could make a 9.30am appointment which I did. He confirmed shingles, prescribed treatment and I was soon home again. Having received such prompt treatment, the swellings have already subsided after only 3 days and I look fairly normal again. After my previous experience of shingles, for which I did not seek immediate help, I learned the hard way that quick treatment is essential.
I could not have had faster treatment this time.
